Connecting to Pilario

This article explains the steps required to register and connect to Pilario

Registering your organization in Pilario

Before using Pilario your organisation needs to be set up in the system. This needs to be done only once (and in most of the cases we have already taken care of that). If you have received an email about connecting to Pilario you can skip to the next section Log in.

Registration via federation link

Federations can provide their members a link that will allow them to register under specific licences or services. If that's the case, you will need to fill a form that will add your organisation to Pilario before you can start using it. In the form, you will have to provide your organisation name, your first and last name, and finally your email. Please make sure you also agree with our privacy and terms of service.

When the form is submitted, you should receive an email confirming that your account is ready to be used.

When accessing Pilario for the first time, a login form will be displayed. The user can choose to log in:

  • Providing username and password
  • Or via an SSO provider

Logging in with your username and password

If the user types a username or email, the application will ask for a password that should be filled in the specific field. Once the user has provided both fields, they can click on the Sign In button to connect and access the main page.

If your account is linked to several organisations, upon connecting, you will be prompted to choose among your organisations as shown in the image below.

Logging in with Single Sign-On (SSO)

Pilario (currently) supports Single Sign On with Google and LinkedIn, if you want to connect using any of those providers, just click on their icon and if your session is already initiated in that provider you will be taken directly to the main screen of Pilario, otherwise, you will need to connect to the provider with your usual username and password.

Please note that if you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled in your provider, you will need to provide a one time code that you will need to obtain via your authenticator app, or email, or phone... depending on your provider and how you enabled the 2FA.

This is something that might have been enabled by you or at company level, that being the case, please contact your IT team for support if needed.

Forgot password

If you have forgot your password you can request an email to reset it. In order to do so, input your username as you usually do and then click on the Sign in button which then allow you to input your password or request a new one.

By clicking on the button Submit an email will be send to you with instructions on how to reset your password.

The email received will contain a link which will take you to a page where you can reset your password. Please be aware that this link will only be valid for 24 hours, afterwards you will have to request a new one.

In the new password page, you will be able to choose a new password, please remember that your password should contain at least

Once provided, you will be notified about the password update and you will be able to access Pilario.
