Pilario’s architecture and security measures are designed to ensure strict data access controls, safeguarding the confidentiality of your company’s data. Here’s how your data is protected:
- No sharing of product descriptions:
Your product descriptions are never shared with other companies or the Consortium.
- Limited sharing of metadata:
Your product metadata is not shared with other companies. It may be shared with the Consortium only for calibration and audit purposes:- Calibration: During calibration, participants share output data and some product metadata with the Consortium.
- Audit: The Consortium may access output data for products where the scope is published, though this is still under review.
Solution for confidentiality
Pilario offers a product scoring workflow to ensure data confidentiality:
- Calculated Status: Automatically set when a product is scored.
- Approved Status: Set by the company after internal review. This status locks the product description and sends the output data and required metadata to the Consortium.
Third-Party auditor access
Third-party auditors can verify and validate scores. They will have access to output data shared with the Consortium, but product data will only be accessible if provided by the company.
Data retention policy
Product data is retained while the company uses the Consortium Platform.
Companies can delete their data anytime. However, data already shared with the Consortium may be retained for audit purposes. If a company stops using the platform, their product data will be deleted, but shared data may still be retained by the Consortium.
Pilario ensures strict data confidentiality with controlled access to product descriptions and metadata, sharing data only for calibration or audit purposes under a secure workflow. Data retention follows the company’s usage and compliance needs.
